Upon arrival in Torbole, it comes as no surprise that its natural beauty has become the inspiration for artists over many generations. To the southeast, the vast Lake Garda is framed in by leaning rocks that cut into a diffused Mediterranean sky. To the north, endless valleys are populated with vineyards, olive groves, and pastel colored homes that speak of a tradition of rich Italian craftsmanship. In summary, the town is nothing short of fanciful. I cannot imagine a better place to study the richness of the past while conjuring new works for the future.
